Who I can help

Seed to Series B founders and product/engineering leaders faced with added complexity in their market, ICP, or value stories that don't fit the standard playbooks:

  • Enterprise software, platforms or PaaS
  • Data/AI infrastructure technologies
  • Developer tooling and DevOps

How I can help

I partner with early and growth‑stage B2B software, infrastructure, and developer tooling companies. My superpower is empathy: understanding how engineers build, how buyers decide, and how high performing teams build momentum. Translating unique technical perspectives into clear positioning and messaging, repeatable systems, and value-driven go-to-market motions teams can scale on.

Category Design

You better know what you are getting into, and you better be ready to grind it out. The reward for perseverance? You get the cookie and the milk.

Requirements: Unique technical perspective, deep understanding of the problem, a vision for the world where this problem is solved, and the guts to go out and demand it should exist. Read: Category design in 3 stories

Some things I'm proud of

Category Design

From synthetic data to test data infrastructure

Reframed QA around real bottlenecks—time, compliance, and data availability—turning "nice to have" into "critical path." Shifting product positioning away from commoditized synthetic data towards a new category Test Data Infrastructure.

Novel approach to an old challenge

Codified a discipline teams were already using, "causal AI". Defined the category, rallied practitioners, and earned analyst recognition. Rebuilt product marketing function and scaled gtm enablement off the back.

Testimonials

"Dan is definitely a driver who takes ownership of problems, executes flawlessly and is a brilliant communicator. He was the key to transform a makeshift product marketing function to a professional one, creating proper processes, quality control and sitting right next to the technical teams: to understand the product in depth, but also to provide critical feedback on simplifying how it's organized and packaged for customers."

— Andre Franca, PhD, CTO (previously VP R&D)

"Dan was also the mastermind behind the most well-organised conference I've also had the pleasure of attending, bringing together hundreds of high-profile attendees from all over the world."

— Andre Franca, PhD, CTO (previously VP R&D)

"He is dependable, an impeccable problem-solver and a team player. Dan is also an energetic ball of initiative and forward-thinking. He works incredibly hard, possesses enviable accountability and is just a good person and a pleasure to work with overall."

— Adam Herndon, VP Strategic Operations

A bit more about me

I've produced 500+ live/online events, including large scale brand activations, and global technology conferences. My writing has appeared in DZone, Hackernoon, and Towards Data Science. Based in Barcelona now, but spent nearly two decades working alongside engineers and operators to make complex products simple, powerful, and sticky. Dog parent to Gece, who probably thinks we should spend more time at the park.
